We Are Thomasse releases special LIVE version of “Gossip Spy” online for the first time!

Since we have fans all over the world who can’t always make it to our live shows, we’ve decided to start sharing some live videos with you! First up: Gossip Spy!

This sketch was filmed at Second City Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Sept 20th 2016.

Nick was filming in London (UK) the day before.
So we woke up that morning in London with a 12 hour flight ahead of us to get back in time for the show.
…and we missed our flight.

In a mad scramble at Heathrow, we found tickets for another flight. Nick re-packed bags so that if time was too tight then at least the props for the show would be in our hand luggage, and meanwhile we could leave the rest of our baggage on the carousel until we had time to come and pick it up!

Sarah did her hair for the show at the lounge in Heathrow before the flight. We designed the show on the plane, and got our wonderful tech to print off the running order. We both changed on the flight itself half an hour before landing. And we explained the situation to the cabin crew who let us get off the plane first.

And – slightly unbelievably – we got our bags and got to the theater with 20 minutes to go… which is *just* long enough to set up the props and stage and then open the doors 5 minutes before curtain up.

We Are Thomasse makes their BIG SCREEN debut in Jason Mraz’s “Have It All: The Movie” TONIGHT!

On August 7th at 7pm nationwide FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY… viral comedy duo, We Are Thomasse, will be featured in a new documentary from long time collaborator and friend, Grammy-winner Jason Mraz, titled Jason Mraz – Have It All The Movie. The married British-American sketch comedy couple, comprised of Sarah Ann Masse (The American) and Nick Afka Thomas (The Brit), star in a parody commercial they co-wrote with Mraz specifically for the film, which centers around the singer’s current hit single “Have It All.”

“One thing we’ve always loved about Jason Mraz and his music is that it combines a sense of humor with positive messaging,” Masse said about the duo’s experience with the singer. “We strive to do the same with our comedy and having him TRUST us to collaborate with him on this scale is such a gift.”This marks Sarah Ann Masse’s Big Screen debut as a producer and director as well!

In partnership with Fathom Events and Sirius XM, Jason Mraz – Have It All The Movie will screen nationwide in select cinemas on August 7, 2018.

We were so honored to perform at Feeding the Soul’s comedy variety night to benefit Hollywood Heart! We opened with a fast and furious half hour set and were thrilled when the audience rewarded us with a standing ovation! We were also lucky enough to share the bill with frequent collaborator Billy Galewood, new friend Eric Schwartz, and the up and coming stand up comedian, Hot 7. It was a night full of Sketch, Stand Up, Improv, and Music and it was just a prelude to the magical insanity that will be happening in Oceanside on December 21st for Feeding the Soul’s Holidaze Celebration! The time has come for We Are Thomasse to hit the road and head down south and we are SO excited! Not only do we get to escape the snowy NYC streets, we also get to do two nights of comedy in front of brand new audiences at the South’s biggest comedy festival! Head on out to Chapel Hill on Friday Feb 6th at 7:30 and/or Saturday Feb 7th at 8pm to catch us doing 25 minutes of our high concept, British-American comedy sketches.

We are delighted to report that after our successful NYC Sketch Fest show in October, The Pit has asked us back to perform again! On December 27th, 2014 at 9:30pm, We Are Thomasse will be doing forty minutes of high concept, character driven, British-American sketch comedy. Tickets are just $10 or $1 for students with an ID. We promise that this will be a fast and funny show! So, if you are around just after the Holidays, we’d love to have you come laugh with us… or at us. Either one works.
