‘27 Club’ illuminates the lives and music of this infamous club. A club in which all members share at least one thing in common; they all died tragically at the age of 27. Set in a mythical Greenwich Village ‘living room’ (circa 1969), the candles burn late into the evening as the stars of this dubious club begin to appear including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Robert Johnson, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, and Jim Morrison. In the end, all of the musicians come together in a one of a kind finale that leaves the audience clamoring for more.

a 2-night comedy weekend featuring comedians from Los Angeles, Seattle, the Bay
Area, and London for two nights of stand-up and sketch comedy presented by
Sonoma Laughfest in association with Notre Dame de Namur University. Scheduled to
appear is We Are Thomasse, who’ve played to full houses in London, Paris, New York,
and Los Angeles. “The married comedy duo of Nick Afka Thomas and Sarah Ann Masse
combine his droll British wit and her joke-packed American energy in this clever, cross-
cultural sketch show.” – The New York Times. Often likened to Elaine May and Mike
Nichols, We Are Thomasse is a fast-paced, old-school comedy couple who’s British-
American humo(u)r relies on high concepts, charmingly absurd characters, and clever
verbiage. Also appearing are Seattle sketch comedy team, Villains, and stand-up
comedians Ellis Rodriguez, David Roth, Jay P. Brown, Irene Tu, and Nick Hoffman,
among others. Proceeds from this benefit weekend will go to Sonoma County
Resilience Fund and Redwood Credit Union to help families recover and rebuild.
Created by Brooke Tansley and Kristen Rozanski (both from Amy Poehler’s comedy
collective, Upright Citizens Brigade), Sonoma Laughfest began in Sonoma as a comedy
festival that features comedic talent from all over the United States. Sonoma Laughest
2017 was to be October 13-15, but was canceled when the Tubbs Fire burned down
one of their venues and the hotel that was to house many of the comedians. The
Christmas Carol family, who’s community gem was attended by more than 100,000
people over 30 years, generously offered to help them refocus their festival as a benefit
weekend. “It’s so moving to see such an outpouring of love and support for people who
are facing such devastation,” said Brooke Tansley, executive producer of Sonoma
Laughfest and Sonoma County resident, “we are so grateful to Notre Dame de Namur
University, to the Student Programing Board, our comedians, and local businesses for
coming together so quickly to do some good. We’ll have a incredible and memorable
weekend together in laughter and love in Belmont.”
The weekend runs November 18th and 19th at The NDNU Theatre at Notre Dame de
Namur University. Tickets are $31 online or $36 at the door. Tickets can be purchased

online or at the door if supplies last. Anyone is welcome to bring a new, unwrapped toy

We Are Thomasse
We Are Thomasse (rhymes with “sassy”), is an NYC based sketch team made up of married couple Nick Afka Thomas (the Brit) and Sarah Ann Masse (the American). They have been compared to Monty Python on the one hand, Nichols & May on the other, and Key & Peele on that always useful third hand. They combine the best of British and American awesomeness by presenting witty, fast- paced, character-driven sketches that are modern but with a classy, classic twist.
We Are Thomasse: As American As Fish ‘n’ Chips, features a dizzyingly funny and fresh series of sketches full of sharp wit and expert costume changes, covering everything from empathetic muggers to the Proper Way to Have Sex.

We Are Thomasse performs original sketch shows every month at The PIT and The Treehouse Theater in NYC. They also perform regularly at iO West in Los Angeles and have performed at national festivals such as The NYC Sketch Festival, The NC Comedy Arts Festival, and The LA Scripted Comedy Festival. Their 13-episode web-series, S’N’M, is being released soon!
